Freshers On-Campus-Tour

Client: Adobe (2025)

I was commissioned by Adobe through their Creative Apprenticeship program to create a set of 20 enamel pin designs and staff merchandise for their Freshers on-campus-tour. This year Adobe are visiting 30+ universities around the UK, students will receive crossbody bags as well as these pin badges. Themed into music, fashion, sports and gaming, these badges are the perfect addition to any bag, hat or jacket and there's something for everyone... from a concert ticket, cowboy hat, digi camera and more.

The Design Process:

Adobe wanted all 20 pins had to feel cohesive and every single one needed to include the Adobe ‘A’. The challenge? I needed to design pins that students actually wanted to wear and trade. So we came up with an idea: We centred the collection around passion projects, split into four themes: music, fashion, gaming, and sport.

I started with letting myself play and have fun, I let anything be possible and set no boundaries.  I ended up with over 80 sketches. A few of my favourites were turning the 8-ball into an A, using the A as the iPod album, and even sneaking it into some keys. I sent everything to Adobe, they picked their top 20 to bring to life. To keep everything cohesive, I used a bright, limited colour palette.
